Adelaide Holocaust Museum appoints new CEO




The Adelaide Holocaust Museum & Steiner Education Centre is proud to announce the appointment of Annetay Henderson-Sapir as its new Museum Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Selected through a rigorous and competitive executive recruitment process, Annetay Henderson-Sapir brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. An accomplished senior executive and non-executive director, Annetay has garnered international experience across both the public and not-for-profit sectors.

“As we navigate through challenging times, the Adelaide Holocaust Museum is committed to preserving the memory of the Holocaust while also fostering education and awareness to combat antisemitism, racism and hate of any kind in our community” said Greg Adams, the Chair of the Museum’s Board.

“Annetay’s impressive track record in leadership, governance, and community engagement makes her the ideal candidate to lead us forward.”

Annetay Henderson-Sapir is not only respected in the local Jewish community, she is experienced working in government and private sector. Her previous roles include Deputy Director of Cabinet Office in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the Director of Governance and Research for TAFE South Australia. Most recently, Annetay was Director, Advisory at professional services firm BDO.

Annetay’s expertise in project management and policy development will be instrumental as the museum embarks on major capital works and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing its offerings. Following a year of redevelopment of heritage-listed Fennescey House at 33 Wakefield Street, the museum will boast double its current exhibition space, a purpose-built education area and modern facilities for research and conservation. The Adelaide Holocaust Museum & Steiner Education Centre extends its warmest welcome to Annetay Henderson-Sapir and looks forward to embarking on this new chapter under her leadership.
